WATER WATER WATER…

Watering is essential for the survival of your plants. The main cause of death to outdoor plants is lack of water.

Here are some handy tips to save your prize specimens.

  • Is the soil dry? Simply stick your finger (no tools required) a couple centimeters into the soil… if it feels dry, water it!
  • What about the new guys? Be sure to give your newly planted trees and shrubs a good drink after planting and continue this practice for the first year, allowing them to establish and thrive in the future.
  • Potty for pots? Potted plants tend to dry out sooner compared to being in the ground so keep a close eye. They would be even more grateful if you added some liquid-feed into the water over the growing period.

Remember…. the healthier the plant the better chance it has to fight against pests and diseases.
